Each year, The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, PA chooses a unique design theme for their Annual Report. The report is intended to highlight the previous year’s projects, initiatives, and accomplishments as well as share financial data and acknowledge supporters. With an increased marketing push on social media and advancements in their digital programming, the theme of the 2015 report became “digital.” With that in mind, I designed a vibrant grid motif of color gradients and boxes throughout each page of their report, evoking a visual sense of digital growth and advancements. Once the design was established, I worked closely with their development team to add text content and photos. The finished report came to 60 pages, printed in full color on uncoated Finch paper stock.
Bicycle Coalition Membership Brochure
This tri-panel membership brochure for the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia features an illustrated map of bike trail highlights, PA laws for cyclists with custom icons, and vibrant member photos.
The State of University City
Under the employment of University City District I designed their annual “State of University City” publication. A large publication (reaching 72 pages in 2014), The State of University City features development projects, key data, innovation stories, neighborhood narratives, and UCD initiatives. Working with the UCD marketing and research team I translated content into photo-rich pages and engaging data visualization. For my work on these publications, I was awarded an In-House Design Award from Graphic Design USA in 2009, 2010, and 2012.
Bike Share Ambassador Toolkit
When Bike Share came to Philadelphia in the spring of 2015, I was thrilled to collaborate with The Mayor’s Fund for Philadelphia and The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia to design the Bike Share Ambassador Toolkit. I designed the entire layout and created the illustrations and diagrams for this 40-page publication.
Doane Academy View Book
This view book I designed for Doane Academy in Burlington, NJ features large and vibrant photos, a clean and open layout, and beautifully uncoated Cougar paper stock. It is currently being used as their main marketing tool at school fairs and admission-related events.
